                    HOLLY WHEELER

The 2008 season marks Holly Wheeler’s ninth year at the helm of the Wesleyan Women’s Lacrosse program and as a full-time physical education faculty member.  Wheeler also served as head women's soccer coach for four seasons but assumed assistant coaching duties in that sport during the 2004 campaign. In 2007, Wheeler led the Cardinals to their fifth consecutive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tournament appearance with a three seed and a top 20 national ranking for the fourth year in a row.  The 2007 team’s record of 8-6 marked its first ever winning NESCAC record.   A 1999 graduate of Princeton University, Wheeler was a starting defender for the perennial national Division I power Tigers. Princeton captured two Ivy League titles and qualified for the NCAA Division I tournament three times between 1996 and 1999.

                    LAURA FIELD

The 2008 season marks Laura Field's first at the helm of Yale University after having been named the Joel E. Smilow Class of 1954 Head Coach in July of 2007.    In seven years as Yale's assistant, she has helped Yale to a 79-36 (.687) overall record and a pair of NCAA tournament appearances.  A 2000 Princeton graduate, Laura has a combined total of five NCAA appearances as a player and a coach in the last 10 years.  Last season the Bulldogs went 13-4 and earned a No. 11 national ranking along with an NCAA bid. That was the third time in Field's tenure the team has won 12 or more games, including the 14-win 2003 season that tied the school record.  At Princeton Field started in goal and took part in the 2000 NCAA National Championship game as well as three NCAA Elite Eight games during her playing days. She also won an Ivy League championship and earned All-Ivy recognition three times -- including a unanimous first-team selection in her freshman year.

The remainder of the staff will include coaches from Division I and Division III college programs.  Assistant coaches will be current and former college players.
